MacBook Air M4 with two external displays available
I purchased a maM4 for my travel laptop. It offers a compact design and excellent battery performance. The challenge arises when I'm at the office with two external displays connected via a hub. This setup has never caused problems on my other devices—Dell, HP, or Lenovo. I've tested multiple hubs with two display inputs, but they consistently mirror both displays on my Mac.
I think these aren't unrealistic >4k120 monitors. How are you linking the MBA to the hub? Is it a single cable? Does that cable use Thunderbolt 4? Have you attempted connecting the displays directly?
There are two screens at 1080p, each about 27 inches. It connects via USB-C or a similar hub, not Thunderbolt. Since I'm often on the move, it works best as a central hub rather than a dock.
