I really dislike Mac because I can't grasp what's happening. That's why I tried to install Komplete Ultimate on my Mac using a 2TB external SSD. Initially, the download failed and all my storage space got taken by other apps. I moved the library files to the SSD to free up space, deleted them from the Mac, but then the folder size jumped to 220GB. Even though the library is missing, I still can't find it, so only half of the installation completes and the hard drive remains full. Logic says it can't locate the library on my external disk, leaving me stuck with no progress. I don’t have any backups or snapshots checked. I’m confused about why the other folder is so large!

Add GrandPerspective or ncdu via brew to check disk usage. Certain apps can't handle storage changes without using hard links...

Main file size is represented by a big square. Hovering over it shows the entire folder, helping you spot additional large files there. The bottom bar displays the full path.
