I've linked an external enclosure to my 2018 Mac Mini as the main storage. It uses a Mediasonic ProRaid USB-C with two Samsung 860 EVO 1Tb SSDs in RAID 0 configuration. The speed is excellent, but I'm worried since hardware RAID doesn't support TRIM. I want to retain both SSDs, so what are my top choices?

Software RAID on Mac isn't familiar territory for me. My Windows setup has generally worked well. I've faced some problems with my RAID 5 configuration, especially when it's nearly full. This often leads to the drives stopping operation temporarily during data refresh processes to avoid data loss. A restart usually resolves the issue about 90% of the time.
