Mac and Windows - Time Error
I've attempted this registry change to resolve the timing issues, but it hasn't worked for me. Is the system clock dependent on an internet connection? "To resolve it, open Start and search for regedit.exe. Press Enter, then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation. Click anywhere in the right pane, choose New > DWORD (32-bit) Value, name it RealTimeIsUniversal, double-click it, and set its value to 1." I've also tried using "QWORD (64-bit) Value" without success.
I assume you've already checked the database and attempted to modify it, though I'm here to confirm.
You might have thought that would happen, but I wasn't sure. Do you know how to adjust the clock on the network, like resetting the router's settings so all devices sync up? I've heard it can sometimes work.
It appears the problem lies in the BIOS/UEFI, Mac OS, and Windows operating systems.
The test failed because changing the BIOS time affected both operating systems. You should check your BIOS settings carefully and ensure only one OS is configured at a time.
Check if updating the BIOS by an hour moves the OS accordingly. Determine the difference between BIOS and OS timestamps, then adjust the BIOS settings to correct the offset. If the issue persists, you've likely encountered a complicated problem.
Tried adjusting the BIOS/UEFI clock ahead by one hour, and it also affected the Windows time accordingly.
