M.2 PCIe adapter cards available for purchase.
I have an older motherboard without M.2 options. I checked PCIe cards and found a budget Silverstone 2 slot for testing. A downside is it supports only one M.2 and one SATA M.2. I’m seeking more slot choices and discovered the Asus Hyper M.2 X16 PCIe 3.0 X4 card with four slots. It included the 1TB M.2 but not the second 2TB M.2. Would this board be limited to sizes up to 1TB, or is there an issue?
Have you considered moving the 2tb to another free space? Check the forum thread here: https://forums.
Which board you choose depends on compatibility—M.2 SSDs require a PCIe expansion slot, which most older systems lack. For older hardware, using SATA SSDs is a safer option.
