Hello. I just assembled a new computer for my son, and when I open BIOS on the main screen it detects the M.2 drive, but in the storage settings and everywhere else the SSD isn’t listed. Is the M.2 drive still functional? I’m having trouble turning it on in Windows since I don’t have it installed. The motherboard is an ASUS TUF GAMING B660-PLUS with a Wi-Fi M.2 slot, and it comes with a 1TB Kingston NV1 NVMe M.2 SSD.

Did you turn on Intel Rapid Storage in the BIOS settings? Your SSD wasn’t detected during Windows setup, but disabling it resolved the issue. Also, verify that your SSD is set as the boot drive in the BIOS.

I activated and deactivated it, but nothing functions. Additionally, I’m unable to choose it as a boot drive since the BIOS doesn’t recognize it in the boot menu.

I’d need to revisit my bios to locate the precise adjustment, though both my bios and boot menu failed to identify my NVMe device without making a few initial changes.

The M.2 module was faulty, so I'm getting a replacement. Thanks!
