I just came up with a new idea: I will run the tubing through that big fan opening at the top. It might feel tight though and it's possible to get by. Think like this: @ jrwiz - keep reading these forums, we could use another pair of eyes and a brain 😛 don't forget to look over my AMS build log for some advice there too! I just couldn't help but share this here 😛

That sounds like a solid project. I'm feeling a little jealous because you seem to have an advantage with that case (I'm working on an Inwin A500 which is tricky). I really want water cooling just for the fun of it. Have you thought about using a semi-flush top mount for your radiator? It looks pretty fat, so there are tons of choices available online. FrozenCPU has cool templates at this link: http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g30/c95/...Page1.html Just assume that there is an 80mm hole for the bottom fan on the back.

I think it'd cool if you got some thin sheet aluminum and bent it around the rad in an angled way. I'll try to make a drawing of this from the front so you can understand better. So just let the black box on top of the rectangle be the radbox, and the big rectangle be the case. The red means the material/aluminum you'd use to cover it. It could act sort of like a wind tunnel. Pretty crappy but I hope that helps.

@ C12friedman - don't worry about it man, I guess you'll finish your build way before I even start putting pieces together 😛 but that A500 is so old and by definition a tough challenge to do. Thanks for sharing the plan [:lutfij:3] * what makes this "semi" idea so tricky? @ jrwiz - nice idea, it gave me some great design thoughts...I'll try to write them down here and send them over your thread. Double thanks for having all those parts! ** as an architect I tell myself I can't actually draw - so I just sketch for fun and practice, not to convince others but to see if what I'm seeing is possible. Even though it looks rough at first, I do see what you mean - koolance got the rad shroud/kit thing here http://www.frozencpu.com/products/13913/...0c321s1471 http://www.frozencpu.com/products/13919/...0c321s1471 there are some parts I hide while others show - the water-cooled rig is the part I want to show not cover. A really good idea after all!

Hiding your hard drives is a great idea! That's what I had to do because I needed space for my radials in that 902 unit. I cut holes at the bottom and placed SSDs right there. With this case, it looks super cool if you actually remove most of the front panel. You can fit a 3x120 rad here, or even bigger like a 3x140. Just cut away enough so you can screw directly into the rad holes behind the front. Then use fans to pull air through them. You might get room for better efficiency with a shroud. And sure, maybe you could fit a DVD drive on top or underneath. Or even slot it in the side so the whole drive ends up inside the back panel!

I was hunting for ideas on sleeveing projects when I stumbled onto a link from Wolfram. I'll save those thoughts here. By the way, this post gave me some inspiration too. I might be able to try it out if I put all my pieces together next time.

I don't know if I should just tuck the individual wires into sleeves one by one or do it myself. It looks pretty, but making it yourself takes way too long (like how I once tried knotting every single friendship bracelet leg together). Using colored wire is much faster and looks almost exactly the same. Just my opinion though; here goes nothing. But honestly, why not just use an internet PC? You won't have to worry about cooling things down because it will be cheaper and need less hardware. I think this case fits perfectly for what you want to do there. As for how nice it looks, that depends on your taste and how much detail you're willing to put in to make everything look perfect. So, if you tell me what color theme you prefer, know that you can hand paint the slots and plugs of a motherboard without hurting the board at all. That sounds like a really cool idea, let's keep talking about it here until we get more info on your ideas. This is way too much fun for anyone to miss out on!

yay, be right with the assumption matey! @ toolmaker - the theme I'd want to work with is subtle orange/copper rest being matte/flat black and grey or carbon fibre/titanium grey, copper, red. In all honesty I want to see if I can catch up to some MDPC sleeving. So to sum it up: switches will be Orange+Amber for Power+HDD lights. Res will have orange LED. would want sleeving like that shown in psychosleeve's site courtesy of Psychosleeve GUIDE - MDPC-X SLeeving of individual Cables! by Kamaster on [H]ard forums.
