He needs to verify his CPU on a different motherboard if it works, otherwise the BIOS driver might be broken.
Consider testing the Ryzen 5800X once more? (The Fractal 560 should suffice) Edited January 15, 2024 by leclod
Hey everyone! It's been fixed! First, thank you for all your help and suggestions. I put the 3400g in a different system and it worked. I thought it could have been outputting to the mobo dvi so I hooked it up and that wasn't the issue. I started trying one and then the other ram stick and neither worked. So I finally tried a different ram stick from a known good machine, and wouldn't you know, it worked! It turns out the ram I was using (brand new) wasn't compatible. I don't know how or why, but with that setup, it didn't like it. The current server setup is now: mobo - gigabyte b450m ds3h rev. 1.x cpu - Ryzen 3400G ram - waiting for a replacement but definitely NOT CFD Standard w4u3200cs-16G x2 psu - fractal design ion+560 current other windows rig: mobo - b450 aorus pro wifi cpu - Ryzen 5800X ram - Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 2x16gb psu - seasonic focus plus gold 650 gpu - MSI RTX 2060 oc Almost all of these parts (except for both sets of ram) have been purchased secondhand through fb marketplace, Reddit, and from friends. Thank you again for all your help! You were very quick and helpful in my troubleshooting steps.
