Hello! I’m just starting out on this forum and heard good things from friends. My issue began when I installed the new MSI gaming 5 Z97 board, and everything else worked fine on my other board. However, during a League of Legends match I experience around 50-55 ping, which feels much higher. It’s even worse when I try to stream music or search online while playing—ping spikes to 100-130 ms. I usually had about 45 ping, but now it’s a problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My setup includes an Asus GTX 970, a 4GB Intel Core i5 4690K, Z97 gaming 5 motherboard, 8GB RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a 600W Corsair power supply. Internet speed is 1 Mbps download, 6.80 Mbps upload, and ping ranges from 30 to 30 ms via Ethernet. This information was checked on Speedtest.net.

They relocated the servers. I used to experience 24 ping, now it's around 75. It sometimes feels like packets are dropping, but I don't see a clear solution.

I’m not familiar with LoL Server. Is it a Local, International, or Community server? The speed test is checking the nearest server to your computer, so it should have a low ping.

They relocated it in NA, but I still play on Euw. I believe it's a local server.

The issue may be related to network latency or connection stability during searches.

I just purchased an Ethernet board for $10, and everything is now functioning properly. Still experiencing a 55 ping, but it feels significantly smoother. Probably the lag booster from an MSI motherboard is the reason.
