I'm not sure if the issue lies with my CPU or my Vengeance LPX 16GB RAM. It's possible I'm hitting a bottleneck on either side.

Your RAM might be part of the problem since AMD prefers fast RAM like 2133 in an AMD setup isn't ideal. I'd replace it with a 3200MHz model, and for the CPU you could consider a newer Ryzen (like 2700 or 3600) if you think the first generation is limiting performance. It's unlikely the CPU is the main issue unless otherwise, which would mean you'd still have high FPS.

It's unlikely the CPU is the main issue unless otherwise, which would mean you'd still have high FPS.
