I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with Grand Theft Auto Online – my frame rates have plummeted dramatically, despite having a powerful PC capable of running other demanding games smoothly. The problem seems isolated to GTA 5 Online, and my single-player performance remains excellent. My FPS dropped by as much as 40-50% after recent updates, particularly when inside buildings, while my normal gameplay FPS stayed consistent.
I've exhausted numerous troubleshooting steps without success: resetting all game settings, completely reinstalling the game and Windows, downgrading my graphics driver, removing my overclock, and even contacting Rockstar support (who were unhelpful). Lowering all graphical settings didn’t improve things; I consistently get 30-50 FPS regardless of configuration.
I haven't disclosed my PC specifications as it’s likely not the cause, but I can confirm that GTA 5 Online is the only game where this issue occurs.
