I recently acquired a GTX 1070 Ti and attempted overclocking it for about one and a half years. Using MSI Afterburner, I experimented with various overclock ranges and tried running GTA 5. After playing for five minutes on the overclocked settings, the game crashed, forcing me to restart my PC. I reset everything and returned all core and memory clock settings to their defaults. Since then, I haven’t overclocked again and kept the original settings. Recently, I’ve noticed 100+ frames per second in GTA 5 with only about 5% GPU load. I’m quite puzzled, as I’ve also seen high CPU usage (around 40%) and low GPU usage (0-5%) in other games like COD MW, Warzone, and Metro Exodus. I have no clear direction on what to do next.

Additionally, I utilized MSI Afterburner and Task Manager to analyze the GPU load.
