Hi everyone! I'm a dedicated Skyrim modder who enjoys sharing ENB recordings on YouTube. Recently, I upgraded to a second GTX 780 and set up SLI. I've noticed my FPS drops significantly when recording with SLI active compared to recording solo. Currently, I see around 10-15 FPS during SLI play versus about 30 FPS without it. I'm curious if this is related to the game or the hardware setup. Also, I wonder if Fraps is designed for handling SLI or vice versa. Thanks for any insights! ~Reanna

Have you explored alternative recording tools like Shadowplay, Dxtory, Obs, XSplit, or Bandicam?

It seems some users are questioning whether Skyrim performs well in multiplayer setups. The link points to a discussion on AnandTech forums about this issue.

These choices aren't particularly strong or effective in any way.

I've tested Bandicam and it performs flawlessly with minimal impact on performance while using H.264.

Your CPU utilization is quite high, especially when using fraps. It often consumes a lot of processing power, leading to reduced efficiency.

Use OBS for streaming. Fraps consumes a lot of system resources, even on strong machines.

I support Shadowplay and Bandicam. Dxtory is always available for me, but I haven’t used XSplit or Obs. Shadowplay is great but it reduces color quality in gameplay videos.

I'll keep an eye on it during my next session and report back. It seems the consumption shifts from any level to around 80-100%.
