Hello everyone, please be patient with me as I’m not particularly knowledgeable about technology. I've recently started playing Rust and find it quite enjoyable. I possess a reasonably powerful computer – featuring a GTX 1080 Ti graphics card, Ryzen 5 1600 processor, 16GB of RAM, an MSI B350 PC MATE ATX AM4 Motherboard, and a 500 GB SSD – yet it appears to have difficulty running Rust smoothly. I typically only achieve around 60 frames per second, while others with less advanced systems are attaining frame rates in the 90s or 100s. There must be an issue somewhere. My drivers are all current versions, I’ve reviewed numerous instructional videos and implemented their recommended solutions, and I'm considering upgrading my central processing unit. I’m wondering if the root of the problem lies with the CPU itself, or if there is a hardware issue within my computer. Furthermore, this was my initial PC build, marking my first time assembling one myself. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

At 1080p resolution, your frame rates appear to align with expectations, irrespective of adjustments to other visual options. Why are some lower-quality configurations achieving over 100 frames per second?

How fast is the memory?
Perhaps the game isn’t efficiently designed.
