Low frame rate on a brand new PC just for League of Legends and its client.
Hey everyone,
I just assembled my first PC yesterday and installed Windows 10. I’ve tested Planetside 2 and MB Bannerlord, and both are performing excellently, achieving over 120 fps at high settings. But with League of Legends... the experience is very different. The League client is extremely slow and unstable, often dropping to 30-60 fps when I start a match. Even for the first few seconds, it shows over 100 fps, but this number drops significantly as the game progresses. I’ve added both the client and the game to my Nvidia control panel, but it doesn’t make a difference. I’ve also tried adjusting settings like capping or uncapping FPS, enabling fullscreen, disabling optimizations, setting the power plan to ultimate performance, and even switching to XMP mode with high priority. Still, my CPU and GPU never reach above 75°C during gameplay, and the frames remain consistently low. I’m puzzled—why does such a simple game feel like it’s running much slower than before? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
