I observed a significant drop in FPS recently in Battlefield 1. Usually I achieve 150-200 FPS on maximum settings with my 2060, but yesterday it fell to 60-70 FPS. Initially I thought the updated Nvidia driver might be the cause, but after reverting it the problem persisted. My gaming laptop also showed poor performance, going from 100 FPS to 50 FPS at mid settings. My cousin, who plays BF1, mentioned his 1070 model experienced similar issues yesterday, but we’re unsure what’s affecting the game. Anyone else facing this issue? Any suggestions?

It's their ploy to get you to play something else. Maybe a new game that they released. Though, is there an FPS cap setting? If there is, check that.

It has a maximum frame rate capped at 200fps. The game responds in the menu, but even there frame drops begin to occur. It’s disappointing since I purchased this title just a week ago and enjoyed it. Now it becomes frustrating to play, especially after setting up my first gaming rig a few days prior, making the experience quite unappealing.

The required CPU depends on the game and settings. For 2060, achieving 150+ FPS at ultra requires a powerful processor; in Battlefield 1, performance is less critical since it's a different setting.
