I've been using Ark with a GTX 970 Strix Edition and consistently only achieving around 30 frames per second. Recently, I saw my frame rate jump to about 60 FPS. When I checked my GPU settings, it was running at 620 MHz, but my clock speed was set to 1400 MHz—definitely not reaching it. Could the Ark update be affecting performance? Also, I'm playing at 1080p and trying to avoid the 3.5 VRAM limit; the maximum overclock allowed is 7010 MHz. It's possible the latest patch is causing instability. The FPS counter should show more clearly if that's the case.

They keep playing that game, right? And the hackers are pretty annoying. 2. It only worked well on my GTX 970 when I used low settings—it really struggled otherwise, showing how poorly it was tuned for any graphics card.

Have you attempted to reboot your computer after noticing your card's performance dropped to 620Mhz? There was an instance where the card stabilized at 400Mhz following a restart.

Last night performance was at +60 frames per second with a clock speed around 1300-1400 MHz.

Thanks for letting me know. I should have considered the fundamentals earlier.

Occasionally the OC program gets stuck and a restart resolves the issue. Occasionally, simply switching profiles might solve the problem.

Playing on a personal server or a community server with whitelisting ;D 2. The game isn't fully optimized. On my R9 290 with top textures and AA only on the middle, I usually get 45 to 80 frames per second most of the time. It runs nonstop, using about 100% of my 4GB VRAM, which is confusing since I don’t seem to hit your maximum specs with a GTX 970. I turn off many graphical settings because they cause major performance drops, and some options are adjusted through RadeonPro or SweetFX (Bloom, Curves, Light effects, etc.).
