Please confirm the resolution and in-game settings you've configured. If you're using 1080P, test with 720P to check for frame improvements; otherwise, consider if your CPU might be limiting performance.

Adding one stick of 8GB RAM brings the total to 16GB, which will significantly improve performance with your i5 processor—no need to replace the CPU itself. I successfully play Battlefield 1 without issues using an i5 that’s weaker than yours and a GTX 1070 graphics card. Besides optimizing game settings, I also fine-tune my PC overall. For a quick boost in FPS, lower the following parameters in BF1. You’ll notice minimal loss in visual quality. Motion Blur - 0% Weapon DOF - OFF Chromatic Abberation Effect - OFF Film Grain - OFF Lens Distortion Effect - OFF DX12 Enabled - OFF Lighting Quality - Low Post Process Quality - Low Antialiasing Post - TAA Ambient Occlusion - OFF All other options can stay ON ULTRA. Additional tips: In Origin, right-click Battlefield 3 → Properties → uncheck Origin In-Game Overlay. Open the Start menu in the lower left corner, go to Settings → Power & Sleep → Additional Power Settings → High Performance. Apply if available. End everything. Let me know your current FPS—aim for well over 50, especially at 1080p. Once you have a solid number, consider using MSI Afterburner to cap frames at 85-90 FPS in 1440p; this prevents CPU throttling and keeps things cool. I consistently reach over 100 FPS in 1440p, so limiting to 85-90 helps maintain stability while boosting performance.
