I'm officially new to PC Gaming and PCs in general so bear with me. I currently have a 12600K and a 6600XT with 16GB of 3200 RAM and a 1TB SSD. I have noticed many streamers and other content creators are getting a consistent 240fps when playing. I have a monitor with a 165 refresh rate and figured this system would be more then enough to run Fortnite at a consistent 165fps at 1080p. However, it is only occasionally that I am getting 165fps and more often I am getting anywhere from 90-100fps. I have been tracking GPU & CPU usage and temps while playing and the temps never seem to get above 50C and my usage never even seems to max out, peaking at like 80-85% in game. Is there something I am missing? or is this just what I should be expecting from my current system. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Also if I left out any necessary information regarding my system, I apologize, like I said this is my first real venture into PC gaming.
