LOW FPS IN CSGO WITH GTX 750 TI
LOW FPS IN CSGO WITH GTX 750 TI
Hello guys! I've been dealing this problem for months now, I couldn't get my desired fps in CS:GO which is 120+, my fps are always stuck with 60-110 fps and my video/graphic settings are already on low except for the shadow quality. I already did the fps_max 0/300 command in the console but it does not solve my problem somehow. My video drivers are also in its latest version.
My current specs right now are
GPU: GTX 750 TI 2GB
Processor: AMD A8 9600
MOBO: MSI A320M PRO-VH PLUS
RAM: 8GB
PSU: 650w
Monitor: HP LA2306
Thank you guys and hoping for your fast and kind answers.
Here’s a rewritten version of the text, aiming for clarity and conciseness:
“To achieve optimal gaming performance, focus on reducing CPU bottlenecks. High CPU utilization (hitting 100% across all cores) can severely limit your frame rates. Monitor your CPU usage while gaming – a single core hitting 100% is a key indicator of a problem. A powerful CPU is needed to handle modern games, but don’t expect miracles from a weaker one. Ideally, you want only one core at 100% during gameplay.”
So I tried it just now and it says 100% CPU usage. Does it mean that it is only using 1 core instead of of using all the cores that this processor possess? Thank you for responding btw, appreciated.
Actually that means all cores are running at 100% and your FPS limitation is your cpu.
Here’s a revised version of your text:
“Let’s explore the potential impact of upgrading my computer components. Currently, I'm considering a Ryzen 3 1200 processor and want to ensure it won't create any bottlenecks with my existing system. Is this a suitable upgrade, or will I experience performance limitations?”
Its a decent upgrade

However with CSGO the cpu is usually the limiting factor before the gpu. Also what is your RAM? 1x8gb or 2x4gb and what is the speed? Ryzen performance is significantly impacted by RAM.
Oh alright then, might upgrade very soon. My ram is a 1x8gb ddr4 and I'm not really knowledgeable about RAM and stuff so I downloaded a software called CPU-Z and here is the complete specification of the RAM that I'm using right now

. If it's necessary to buy 1 more stick of 1x8gb RAM then I have no choice but to buy one. Thank you again for helping me, appreciated.
Ok this is what I was afraid of. Your RAM is running at 2133mhz (1064.5 x 2) which is slow. With Ryzen the difference in fps between 2133 and higher speeds such as 3000mhz can be over 10%. Also only running 1 stick of RAM prevents you running in dual channel mode which also reduces performance. Lastly adding another stick of RAM is not guaranteed to work. RAM is only guaranteed to work in the form it is sold, if you want dual channel you should buy a kit with 2 sticks. If you buy the same make and model RAM or RAM with identical specs it will probably work but their is still a risk of issue.
That’s a perfectly understandable confusion! Let’s clarify. You want to know how to get a *better* ram, meaning a more powerful or upgraded one.
Essentially, you're asking: "I have some RAM, and I want to buy more RAM that is better than what I currently have."
To help you further, we need to consider a few things like:
* **What kind of computer are you using?** (Desktop or Laptop?)
* **What size RAM do you currently have?** (e.g., 8GB, 16GB)
* **What will you be doing with the computer?** (Gaming, general use, video editing etc.)
Once we know those details, we can discuss what kind of “better” ram to buy.
Does that make sense so far?
