Low fps in csgo
Low fps in csgo
Hello I consistently achieve 360fps+ in CSGO. I own a 3090 and an i9 10900KF. Recently I installed a Benq 360 monitor, but now my performance drops to 60fps with default settings and reaches 100-200fps on the lowest options. I’m unsure how this change affects the new display since I’m also seeing low frame rates on my old monitor when it’s unplugged. CSGO is consuming about 10% of my CPU and 99% of my GPU, which seems unusual compared to previous usage stats. I’ve spent three hours trying fixes like deleting folders, reinstalling software, adjusting settings, power management, launch options, overclocking commands, but nothing has resolved the issue. My CPU performs well in benchmarks and other games, but CSGO remains problematic with poor FPS and low CPU load.
You are gaming on a screen with resolutions such as 1080p, 2K or 4K. Have you performed a clean reinstall of the GPU drivers? CSGO is a CPU-intensive game, so high resolutions won’t heavily strain the CPU. The greater the resolution, the more GPU-dependent any title becomes. However, if the GPU is fully utilized, the CPU will have little capacity. There’s no strict rule, but you should check how the GPU performs in idle desktop mode and whether all CPU cores are active. You can also turn off hyper-threading to see if it affects performance.
