It began when I played Destiny 2 after a multiplayer session the game froze and my PC crashed. Later, using Windows Event Viewer I discovered the GPU driver was unresponsive, something that happened multiple times. After uninstalling and reinstalling GPU drivers, the issue seemed to improve (though not completely). Playing again, my FPS dropped to around 20-30 from over 100, and Grand Theft Auto also suffered similar drops. I’m unsure what caused it, but my GPU appears to be failing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

well, you just went from the newest driver to an older one right... did you properly uninstall and install everything? there could be some files that are left behind otherwise. i mean, are your temps good? is it clean? my best guess its software related if you just messed with the software. ive had problems similar to that, its almost always software related as long as your hardware levels are normal.
I installed the older models because the newer ones kept failing, but today I removed them completely using DDU and installed the latest driver. So far there have been no crashes, though FPS remains low. Temperatures are stable, CPU stays below 50°C, GPU around 65°C—no issues with overheating or throttling.
I checked several games including GTA V, Destiny 2, Battlefield V, and Assassin's Creed Unity. Most had lower frame rates than expected. Destiny 2 dropped from over 100 to around 30-40 FPS, GTA V barely reached 20 FPS, and Battlefield V fell from 80-90+ to about 40-50. ACU performance was also reduced, likely due to hardware limitations. Some titles stayed stable, like Witcher 3 and CS:GO. Thanks for the reminder!
