Hello, your Acer Nitro 5 has been experiencing low FPS and lag lately. After formatting three times, the issue persists. Your specs look solid—RTX 3050, 12GB RAM, 8GB SSD. The neighbor mentioned RAM might be insufficient, but it was enough before. Why now? Have you run any performance tests or benchmarks?

In 2024, 8GB of RAM isn't enough. Are you using many background processes that could use more memory than it had two weeks prior? Have you switched games?

The games I play remain consistent. Two weeks ago I used Discord and Google Open in the background, but there were no issues then. Now I’m getting only 40 FPS even when CS2 is running.

Reviewing current processes to see if they match known issues. The available memory is 8GB, which works but isn’t optimal, particularly with many recent games.

The formatting won't resolve this problem. It would have fixed it initially. This suggests a hardware constraint or fault. 8GB of RAM is average these days, especially for games. CS tends to be demanding on the CPU, and when I look at your posts and proposed fixes, thermal management seems likely. Have you verified your CPU temperatures during gameplay? If not, adding HWINFO64 might help track temps while gaming and resting. Overheating, particularly in laptops, is a frequent cause—many Acer Nitros have required replacement. No matter the cause, upgrading to 16GB RAM would be wise.

I've placed an order for a RAM module, and the current readings show the CPU averaging 85 and the GPU reaching up to 85 degrees.

I don't have access to your specific warranty details, but generally, installing additional RAM may affect coverage depending on the manufacturer's terms. It's best to check the warranty documentation or contact the seller for clarification.

It seems like your device is experiencing extreme heat. The processor is clearly struggling to keep up, and the graphics card temperatures are elevated, even considering it's a laptop.

Generally no, just installing more RAM won't help. It would only work if your device has a warranty seal and it fails when you open the back panel.
