I have trouble stuttering while playing games like Need for Speed Hot Pursuit on my laptop. My computer has a Ryzen 5 2500U processor and an Nvidia GTX 1050 with 2GB of memory. The screen shows temperatures under 70 degrees, but I'm wondering if the problem is caused by a bad SSD drive.

How much RAM does this computer have and how is it used when I play games? Does it run plugins while charging on my battery?

I have 12 gigs of memory, and I'm using it while plugged into power.

Lower your graphics settings down to the smallest possible options. The main problem is probably that you are using too much video memory (VRAM) so much that your computer's system RAM gets used up.
