Hey, you're looking for a simple video editor for Manjaro. Just need basic cutting, fading, and maybe some text or images. No prior experience, so keep it easy. I'm checking out tools with clear guides. Anything that fits?

I favor the site at https://kdenlive.org/en/ For Manjaro → install via sudo pacman -S extra/kdenlive

Seems perfect for your needs, but I’d like a version without internet access. Appreciate the idea, even if I decide to go that route.

I'll attempt both options.

I haven’t used it before, so I’m unsure about its ease of use. OpenShot and Olive could be good options, while Blender is possible but not very intuitive for someone new.

You can run ffmpeg from the command line to edit videos, images, and more. Overlays are supported. Transitions aren't clear yet.
