Low Computer Performance in Video Games
Low Computer Performance in Video Games
After installing a new GTX 1080 Ti, I’ve noticed my computer isn't performing as well as expected in games like Ring of Elysium when compared to a friend with a comparable configuration. Here are the specifications of my system:
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K at 4.0 GHz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti ROG STRIX OC with 11 GB of memory
Memory: 16GB
Storage: 500 GB SATA drive
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-SLI
Monitor: ROG PG278Q G-Sync display
I'm consistently achieving frame rates between 70 and 80 in Ring of Elysium, while my friend with the same processor and graphics card is maintaining rates above 100. Do you have any suggestions?
What specific model of your power supply do you have?
Is the latest motherboard BIOS version currently installed?
Have you verified whether all necessary drivers – including the most recent chipset, audio, network adapter, and storage controller – are installed as listed on your motherboard's product page? Do not use drivers provided by Microsoft for any purpose. Always utilize the drivers available from your motherboard’s product page.
