I just set up my first computer and am currently running Sparkly Linux Game Over Edition on it. I’m looking for a budget Windows 10 option, possibly at around five dollars on eBay, but I’m unsure if those listings are trustworthy. Could someone help point me to a genuine or affordable copy of Windows 10? Thanks!

Here's a nice link to get Windows: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/window...verviewtab In all seriousness, it's at your own risk. Those '5 dollar Ebay listings' may very well be stolen/grey licenses that either don't work or will be deactivated when you're using it for some time.

Choose windows if you need it, you won’t face issues running Linux and you won’t have to spend money on your operating system. If you’re ready to pay, buy the full version—cheaper options aren’t valid licenses. You’re paying someone to experience exactly what happens when you pirate Windows 10. I can’t grasp why some people refuse to pay $100 for Windows yet enjoy hundreds of dollars worth of games that aren’t installed on their system after a short time. Windows delivers real value compared to any game you might download.

Additionally, for just $100, Microsoft provides various games for each user! Everyone enjoys a fast game of Minesweeper or Patience.

I purchased this key several years ago and it continues to function properly today. I’m unsure whether the inexpensive versions perform similarly. For instance, the link you shared appears to be another purchase option. I believe it’s worth testing if it’s that affordable, but remember to avoid using your credit card—opt for PayPal instead. The activation process uses an automated phone system, so don’t hesitate if it doesn’t work right away; just keep trying. It remains a risk, though.

You can also try a genuine Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 version to launch Windows 10. A lot of people keep spreadsheets of forgotten keys, making it simple to locate and buy them again.

Thank you all for responding to the discussion. I was hoping to secure a more affordable option since my dad is covering the cost, and we've already exceeded the budget by $100. My family is also working to find any possible discounts through their workplace or school. Appreciate your time and support!

Make sure to secure the buyers' safety at all times. This way, if the key stops working later, you can obtain a replacement free of charge. Just mention "The key deactivated" and they’ll provide a new one or refund your money. The five dollars for buyer protection is definitely worthwhile.
