It seems you're looking for a summary of the review discussing performance with a GTX 1660 Ti and Battlefield 5. The source mentions that the CPU should perform well, especially with 4-core i7 processors due to their thread count, and achieving around 90 fps is not overly taxing.
Well the initial step was using the 9900k @5ghz configuration, which is distinct from a 6700k at any given frequency. The techspot reviewers typically use top hardware for the 1660ti. The other aspect is that most testing occurs in single-player mode, which I believe represents a significant performance gap compared to multiplayer with many players on one map. I’ve played BF5 with a 8700k @4.9ghz, 16gb RAM, and 3600mhz, paired with an 1070 at 1080p ultra, achieving around 80fps. During intense firefights, FPS would drop to about 40-50 depending on the screen activity. This is my personal experience, not a benchmark, but it reflects real gameplay. I did some research as well, so don’t worry about that, just focus on what I personally went through.
You didn't think about it because if you had, you'd understand that achieving 80 fps with a 1070 at 1080p ultra would match the 1660 ti. Then you claim they need to play at low to medium settings to reach 60+ fps, which is completely unrealistic. I know someone who plays the game at 1080p high with a 1060 and it works smoothly, consistently hitting over 60 fps even with a 7700k at default settings.
Do you really need to mention anything? Consistently 75-95 fps throughout the day. If you're smart, you'll lower or turn off some fps settings that don’t really matter, allowing you to easily reach over 100 fps. I usually get 105-125 fps on a 6th gen i5 with a 1070. You should be able to match that, and maybe even do better with an i7 6700K. A 1660 Ti performs similarly to a 1070 depending on the game. Some titles might give you a bit more or less than 1-5 fps, but most games keep the difference between 0 and 2 fps. Since your i7 is stronger than my i5, that’s why it works better for me. Just be sure to overclock the i7 if you want higher performance. Overclocking a K CPU isn’t easy to grasp. If you’re aiming for 4.7 to 5.0 GHz, stick with 4.5 and it should be fine. I’m currently at 3.0 GHz, so it won’t affect you.
