I understand it might seem like a challenging task, relying on luck and a bit of luck. If I were aiming to push my 7600k to 5.0ghz, what kind of cooler would I need? I lack the skills to build a custom water loop, but my case can handle up to 360mm rads and works with most air coolers. My only constraint is finding the most affordable option that can handle this overclock safely. Thanks.

If you have the space, the Noctua NH-D15 will certainly work well. Adjusting the cooler based on the voltage requirements of each chip is also an option.

Volkgren suggests the Noctua NH-D15 works well if space allows, and recommends considering a cooler based on voltage requirements. They also ask for AIO recommendations.

The Corsair H100i would suffice. The i5 stays noticeably cooler than the i7. Therefore, any Corsair H100i or higher, or NZXT Kraken X62, or EVGA CLC 280; they all rely on the same Asetek radiator, offering similar performance with the 280mm slightly better. Additionally, according to what I've heard, Swiftech produces even superior AIOs, though they're pricier and less available in the U.S.

The i5 stays noticeably cooler than the i7, so models like Corsair H100i and higher, NZXT Kraken X62, or EVGA CLC 280 all share the same Asetek radiator, offering comparable performance with the 280mm slightly better. Swiftech is rumored to produce even superior AIOs, though they're pricier and less available in the U.S. Thanks for the advice! I plan to test the NH-D15 to gauge its potential.

volkgren :
Make sure it matches your case and motherboard before purchasing.
I had to get the NH-D15S because my mATX board had the first PCIe slot too close to the CPU. The cooler towers are slightly shifted to one side, and it only comes with one fan, but it still fits within 1-2°C of the NH-D15.
I checked and if I move the outside fan up a bit, it should work fine.
