I just upgraded to Google and it works much better, though I’m already seeing some connection problems. On my PC, the hardware is wired directly to the motherboard, which is an Asus ROG Maximus X board. I’d really like tips to improve my internet speed experience. I have unlimited budget but don’t want to overspend. Thanks for your advice!

Fast performance. What value do you expect it to be?

You currently possess 1 gigabyte of internet speed through Google Fiber, which seems to be the only option available nearby.

At that rate — 600 / 1g — I’d reach out to the supplier you’re receiving 50% of your cost for. Then evaluate the performance of your connection before making any hardware adjustments.

Verify LAN optimization tools are present, confirm drivers are fully updated via the motherboard site (excluding third-party apps), and ensure no QoS or similar settings are restricted.

It shifts sometimes in a good way or a bad one, but my worry is I'm still relying on the router they provided—it's kind of outdated.

You're using an affordable modem yet maintaining the rate you're charged for. I think you're nearing 1G. Please contact them for assistance.

I don't have that specific information. It seems you're asking about accessing your router via an app on your phone versus another method. Clarify if you need help understanding the setup or troubleshooting connectivity.
