Do you really think you should spend $500 on a brand-new PC? You can easily find something quite good for that price, and it would be significantly better than your current setup.
Where will you purchase it? In the US?
Upgrading with new RAM and a faster SSD won’t make a huge difference. An i7 processor will only offer a modest improvement, and nothing that matches a brand-new $500 machine.
