Hi, Your Asus AC-RT88u router isn't connecting through the WAN port with your TP-link VX220-G2V. After trying a factory reset and troubleshooting, you've decided to move forward. I'm considering a good alternative router with at least four Ethernet ports and WiFi 6 support for your smart hubs and wired connections in two rooms. Confirm the issue wasn't caused by a router positioned between an internet gateway with double-NAT and IP conflicts. Was the Asus device operating in its default router mode? Have you attempted to reinstall the firmware or applied an available update? Your router should be compatible with Merlin firmware.
