Hello, I'm looking for feedback from all the overclocking senseis or masters. Any input would be welcome. The issue is that I'm struggling to exceed 3.8 GHz on my Ryzen 5 1600. I've increased the voltage to 1.4 to reach 3.8, but temperatures are climbing to around 94°C or higher on the Prime 95/Blend board. Some people claim they can hit 3.8 with 1.4V, but their temps stay between 65°C and 80°C. My cooling setup is a CoolerMaster MasterLite 120 with push-pull mode. I don't know my ambient temperature, but the outside is 31°C. It seems 3.7 is the max I can safely run at 1.356V. I'm not sure if switching to a 240AIO would make a big difference. Thanks for any advice!

It won't be possible to hit 3.8 across all cores due to excessive voltage and heat. This 100MHz gap won't significantly impact performance. Just run at 3.7 and don't worry.

The temperatures differ between the two setups. Using a 240V unit from a 120A model affects heat output and cooling requirements.

Running at 3.8ghz on 1.350V with an nzxt 140mm AIO temps at peak. 60° after several hours of gaming. If temps hit limits, upgrade to a cooler. Previously at 3.6 with stock cooler around 70° for some time, aggressive fan settings helped. Now using AIO fan at steady 900rpm, achieving good temps with minimal noise. Newer models use lower voltage and stay cooler. My brother ran the 2600 at 3.8ghz on stock cooler around 60°C with fans set to 60-70%, but with less voltage.

The gap between 3.7 and 0.8 is much smaller than doubling it. You won’t see any improvement from a 38 reduction. Do you realize not all silicon is identical in quality?

It looks like you're facing some heat issues. Have you thought about Antarctica? It offers 100% free sub-zero air supply!

He mentioned needing some advice. When the CPU requires 1.4 Volts, it's considered a problem, but the temperatures are still high enough. The challenge is... finding a better solution. The question is, how much does an aftermarket cooler cost (30-50€) compared to an AIO that's 100+€, especially since the 2600 and 3600 are much cooler? The 1600 gives a mid-range option, while the 2600 has the smallest one. Neither model is RBG Wraith Spire. I don't know the prices in your country.
