Hi, I've been researching VPNs lately. I'm familiar with TunnelBear and PIA, but both cost around $10 per month unless you opt for a 3-year plan—which isn’t ideal since I only need it for a couple of months. Privacy isn’t my main priority here, so I’m looking for the most affordable option that doesn’t require long-term commitments. Could you help me find the cheapest VPN that fits this requirement? Thanks!

It tends to be more affordable to sign up for a yearly plan with PIA, typically around $30 to $40 roughly. Occasionally, attractive deals appear on various sites, such as lifetime subscriptions. I’ll check for any links soon.

Consider your security needs when using a VPN. Many services aren't as secure as they seem because of where they're based. PIA, for instance, operates from the United States and falls under U.S. laws, which means they might be compelled to share data under privacy and safety regulations. Choose a VPN based in a country outside major surveillance groups—like those not part of the Five Eyes alliance. ExpressVPN is based in the British Virgin Islands and isn't involved in any surveillance coalitions. Their plans start around $6.67 per month for a 15-month subscription, while NordVPN is widely recognized as a top choice in Panama, with a three-year plan costing about $3 monthly.
