Hello, I understand your situation. You're using an older H61 board with only SATA2 support, and your SSD is underperforming. For a more affordable option that supports SATA3, consider a board like the B550 or B650 series, which are budget-friendly yet compatible with modern SSDs. These models usually include better connectivity and performance upgrades compared to the 1230v2. Let me know if you'd like more details!

I own multiple affordable Chinese no-name boards. I haven’t faced any problems with them, but I’ve studied which models perform better. For a dependable setup, consider the Dell Precision T56xx line—they’re x79 boards, workstation grade with strong build quality. I used one for years and really liked it.

I believe Bioflop is the most affordable option you could find for socket-2011. Here are the links: https://www.ebay.com/itm/X79-Desktop-mot...4265643935 and Biostar TPower X79. I corrected the URL earlier. No used units appeared in my search. Edited April 25, 2021 by ShrimpBrime corrections
