I'm a VALORANT player from the MENA area who's planning to upgrade my PC. I already have a 240Hz XL2546K and top-tier gaming equipment, but I need to keep latency as low as possible. I'm also looking at playing games like The Finals, Apex Legends, CS2, GTA5, etc.
I've heard Intel usually offers the best input lag and is faster than AMD, especially with the newer X3D models. Since those have only one CCD, it eliminates the delays that come from multiple CCDs needing to talk to each other. But I'm torn between the two setups.
My Intel build includes:
- I7 14700K
- MSI VENTUS 4070 3X E OC 12G
- GIGABYTE AORUS Z790 ELITE AX DDR5
- Corsair Vengeance 32GB 6000MHz
- DeepCool LS720 360mm
- WD SN850X 1TB SSD
My AMD build features:
- R7 7800X3D

What latency are you referring to? It's unlikely you can notice any interruptions between the CPU and memory.
I don't understand why the CPU would behave that way. DPC is usually connected to video drivers in most situations. Perhaps someone else has more knowledge, but many buyers purchase the 7800x3d due to benchmark results showing better performance across games. If this wasn't the case, we'd expect to see more complaints on Reddit.
I wonder why you're focusing on the expensive RTX 4070 12GB when most players prefer it with DLSS for free performance, though it comes with higher latency. The RX 7800xt would be a better choice.
