Hi, I see you're dealing with an MSI B650 Pro VDH WiFi motherboard. To determine the maximum RAM speed your motherboard supports, you'll need to check the specifications listed in the motherboard manual or on the manufacturer's website. Typically, you can find the supported RAM speeds in the BIOS settings or under the "Memory" section. If you need further assistance, let me know!

Check the specification page for the B560M model. Also, verify your entry—there seems to be a typo; it should be B560M instead of B650M.

It's an AM5 chipset, but unless you're comfortable with the process, consider moving to DDR5 6000. Your motherboard isn't the issue—it's your CPU. The memory controller on the CPU determines what it can manage. Unless @Gat Pelsinger is mistaken, that might be a typo.

Your system runs an Intel i5 10400F, and you're looking for the highest RAM frequency it can support.

This alters the situation. It’s not really useful unless you’re focused on tweaking RAM speeds, to purchase anything quicker than the DDR4-3600 CL16 (with a Zen2 or 3 CPU). Still, the main consideration remains your processor, not the motherboard. The memory controller is built into the CPU.

This will be 100% based on how good your CPU's IMC is. There are some people who have gotten 10400Fs to over 4400MT/s, and there are people who can't get it above 3600MT/s. I'd personally stick to 3200 CL16 for your max speed as that's cheap with good enough performance, and spending any more than necessary on DDR4 platforms doesn't make much sense nowadays. There was another typo, it's B560 since they have a 10400F.

For an Intel CPU, it doesn't match the B550 spec—likely a B560 instead. Please double-check your references.

It's understandable to get confused with those models. B560 and B650 are both Intel processors, but they have different specifications and uses.

I’m really confused about my mobos, probably because my other build has a b650.
