Looking for the cause of stuttering
Hi there,
over a year ago my computer started experiencing stuttering during games, even when performance stayed high. I also noticed the CPU heating up rapidly, though I wasn’t sure if this was a new issue. After returning it to the manufacturer, I cleaned the installation and reapplied thermal paste, tried different RAM modules, but nothing resolved the problem. My suspicion is there might be a CPU-related issue, but I’m hesitant to replace it until I’m more certain. The stuttering appears in most games I’ve played, especially noticeable in Fn and Valheim, less so in Apex, Mc and Valo, and not present in Ow. Could you help identify the possible source of this problem?
My PC: OMEN 25L GT12-1302NG
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! I also observed my CPU getting very hot quite rapidly, though I’m not sure if this was a problem beforehand.
My PC: OMEN 25L GT12-1302NG
The case was made by Coolermaster and the unusual thing here is that it was poorly designed, causing high temperatures on both the CPU and GPU. Also, all Omen models from that range were disappointing purchases.
