Faced driver issues and inability to access the Nvidia control panel, I chose to remove the drivers by deleting the device in the device manager. Despite my efforts, the GPU still doesn’t appear in the manager.

It would be helpful to know what solutions you've attempted and what issues you experienced with the driver. Confirm whether the problem stems from the driver itself. Please mention the laptop model and its GPU details. Try reinstalling by downloading the newest driver, selecting the clean install option, and check if this resolves the issue.

Sorry for the missing details. The driver issues were mainly due to Nvidia control panel indicating incompatibility. My laptop is an LG P530-K.AE3BZ with a Nvidia GT 520M. The problem began when I attempted a fresh driver installation, but it didn’t resolve the issue. I tried uninstalling via Device Manager, yet the device didn’t reappear after several restarts. I installed both the Nvidia and manufacturer drivers, but neither worked—system always reported no compatible graphics hardware.

It seemed improbable that this occurred right when I removed the device from Device Manager. Considering it’s been ten years, it probably wasn’t too surprising.

Which graphics card is this? If it's quite old, you might need to look for matching drivers. Edit: It looks like it's a really ancient model.

You removed it since you were already experiencing problems, weren't you?

Laptops usually include a restore partition. Using the Windows restore tool clears everything currently installed and reinstalls the original factory version, which should also recover the drivers. Another possibility is updating to an older Nvidia driver, as manufacturers stop supporting newer GPUs. Good luck!
