I haven't had that situation before. The one I received performed well. It also included an extension cord, allowing me to mount it on a shelf beside my computer where it wasn't as noticeable.

They merely included the 5GHz frequency range. The main change was making AC more efficient, that’s all.

Both groups have strengths and weaknesses that depend on the situation, and being able to switch quickly improves performance. 5.6 has been around for a long time—I think it’s still relevant. G was also from 5.6. Interestingly, it became quite valuable at first because its slower speed meant it didn’t face competition from the faster b/g options, avoiding congestion issues.
