I already own a 12600k CPU and have experimented with it. Recently I returned a Z690 Asrock board and didn’t like the MOBO Bios layout, so I’m considering getting a Z690 ASUS board—either DDR4 or DDR5. DDR5 seems out of reach for me right now. I need advice on picking a DDR4 memory kit. Right now I have 32GB (two 16GB sticks) from Corsair 3600MHz at 1.35V. I think this setup is on the lower side for RAM speed. My aim is to boost performance and FPS. I mainly play action games like BF 2042, Far Cry 6, Call of Duty, and others on a 144Hz 27-inch 1440p monitor. To keep it simple, here’s what I’m thinking: MONITOR: 1440P 144Hz OLD RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3600 @ 18-22-22-42 @ 1.35v New options: Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more - Newegg.com Goal: Higher FPS/better performance Please let me know if you have suggestions. I’m only willing to spend up to $250 on RAM. Side questions: Will this kit work well? Could DDR4 4800MHz help? Or are my current timings too slow compared to those kits? I upgraded from a 8600K build earlier.

Your current setup is sufficient. Consider investing in CPU and GPU improvements before focusing on RAM.
