I’m curious how the community views the game so far. After about five hours of play, I appreciate the historical setting but notice some major flaws. The battles feel awkward and over-the-top compared to other titles like Odyssey, and overall performance is quite poor. I’ve been testing with an upgraded system—still struggling to hit more than 85 frames per second at 1440p, even with different settings. Whether it’s low, medium, high or ultra, I consistently see around 85 FPS max, with occasional drops to about 45. Anyone else experiencing similar issues? Thanks!

Looking at all the positive feedback I've received, I understand why I'm convinced.

Right away I stopped caring when they said dual weapons didn’t boost damage. If anything went wrong—whether intentional or not—I’d rather avoid getting tangled in the rest of their mistakes.

It’s not completely negative, actually. There are many solid concepts in the game, but it seems they haven’t finished perfecting everything before launch. It feels like you’re playing a beta version where developers are still discovering many issues. Around an hour in, I found myself stuck in a tree and unfortunately ended up there.

I rely on a shield and an axe, so I’m not sure about dual-wield mechanics. I understand the skill tree offers unique perks for using both weapons together.

We’re using the same 8700k 2080ti configuration—it’s likely an issue on your PC since you’re seeing 80 to 110 FPS with the hardware unlocked.

It’s not my computer. If it were mine, it wouldn’t just be one game. When I run AC: Odyssey, my FPS improves a lot. The odd part is with AC: Valhalla—my CPU runs at 60-70% and GPU at 75%, which suggests something might be wrong with the game.

I wouldn't suggest a 750 Ti, even if it functioned. At most, you'd still hit around 20fps even at 720p with minimal settings. My cousin uses an ASUS 760 and achieves 28 FPS on low settings there. My brother plays with my 1070 Ti at 1080p using the lowest options and gets about 35 FPS.

It doesn't seem to offer any advantage compared to a 1070 Ti processor, does it?

You have identical specifications, yet your PC runs smoothly while yours struggles. It’s clearly the optimized version you’re using, which performs exceptionally well despite the same hardware.
