Checking for new fantasy RPGs, MMOs, and similar titles released in 2016. Legion seems delayed, and I haven’t spotted any on Steam yet. Looking forward to something exciting beyond a first-person shooter.

Have you considered suggesting some from the past?

Wildlands and its divisions feel more like a shooter/RPG than an MMO.

Metacritic features an extensive catalog of upcoming PC titles: http://www.metacritic.com/browse/games/r...on/pc/date. Additional titles include Dishonored 2, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, and We Happy Few. The latter was developed by the same team behind Contrast Yooka-Laylee and serves as a spiritual follow-up to Banjo-Kazooie.

I enjoy the classics but am eager to explore new games. Right now I’m playing DA:O with my eyes closed. I was planning to revisit Dark Siders 2, but then HFC released something new. I’m getting the NES emulator on my 2k rig and trying FF1 up to level 50. It looks promising—want to see the combat! Thanks!

Fallout 4 Divinity and Original Sin 2 are both expansions that blend RPG elements with the post-apocalyptic setting.

I received Divinity 1 on a Friday. I purchased some pills and a pack of ciggs, and turned off my phone so I could fully enjoy the game on Friday night. Right now I’m struggling to recall why I gave up after three hours—it wasn’t as intense as Pillars, but it didn’t capture my interest. After switching it off, I spent hours in my garrison. I think I need some rehab for Warcraft, honestly. Dark Souls 1 and 2 really frustrated me because I don’t have a controller and playing on a keyboard was tough. I’m still a big fan of Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning. I ran through it twice on Nightmare and watched every voice-acted scene with all the optional questions. Probably my preferences lean toward that game’s XP. Final Fantasy Tactics is something I’ve played for 14 years. I tried to jump into Agarest Generations of War the hard way, but it didn’t work out.
