I have around six from old computers. I’m not sure what you expect to get—mostly 56k on a modem, not gigabit.

No, a 56k modem isn't necessarily the top choice anymore. Are you talking about a standard modem for phone lines or something for broadband internet? The BThomehub seems to work well in that case.

I use Rogers internet through cable, unfortunately without fiber, and it's 500 Mbps / 20 Mbps.

For gigabit connectivity, consider the Technicolor TC4400 or Motorola SB8200. I recommend checking with them first to ensure they're compatible with the Rogers network, though both support gigabit speeds.
