Thanks for the ideas so far. Looking through the Steam store, I found Destiny 2—it feels a bit futuristic... What’s the story or quest like? Or is it mainly about action? I talked with my more critical friends while shopping around, and they shared what we enjoy in games: missions or quests that work well with teamwork, meaningful stories that develop over time, detailed environments and graphics that enhance realism, great voice acting, strategic combat where skill and teamwork matter, engaging music, well-structured plots where choices impact the game, and immersive maps with stereo sound for better positioning. Open worlds are appreciated too. They mentioned avoiding repetitive or clunky combat, fights just for the sake of it, missions that feel forced for solo players, and poorly designed maps or mini-maps. In short, the story and team-based quests seem to be the most important aspects.

This seems to be a game focused on multiplayer interactions instead of a full MMORPG experience.

It might interest you if Fallout 76 has a fresh update. They’ve added many new non-player characters, which significantly alters the experience.

Well, it really comes down to what you consider. As I mentioned earlier, we've played City of Heroes, Secret World, Lord of the Rings: The Second Part, ESO, and Star Wars: Old Republic—all considered Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games, or MMORPGs.
