Hello, I'm just getting started with this forum but have been using it occasionally over the past few years. I recently bought a desktop at a fairly low price and am planning to overclock it to around 4-4.5Ghz. It's not that it's failing to meet my needs or expectations, but compared to my twin turbo Corvette (around 800 rwhp), more performance is better. Haha.
Details:
Alienware Full Tower
-ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard
-Intel i7 975 3.3Ghz CPU
-G.Skill Ripjaws 24GB (6x4GB Triple Channel) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
-Thermaltake 1200watt power supply
-Watercooled CPU, all other components use fans
-2x R6970 in Crossfire (no overclocking yet)
-Windows 7 Professional
I've seen some discussions about BIOS settings and even tried using various configurations from others, but changing things like 191x21 caused the OS to freeze or show BSOD at startup.
I'm wondering if, with this hardware listed, someone could suggest a reliable set of parameters for me to input and then run a stress test to ensure stability? I know there are people here who might have similar setups, and while it's not a one-size-fits-all situation, I'm comfortable with something close.
Feel free to share my BIOS menu screenshots if helpful.
Thanks ahead of time!
*I'm aiming for this to be a genuine discussion, not just another post. Apologies for the repetition!*

I've removed your prior message because it matched the previous one. Please maintain your thoughts, opinions, and any suggestions on a single thread to ensure consistency for forum visitors. This platform has only two formats: a non-discussion thread requiring a direct answer, and a discussion thread for open conversation. You should aim for a clear response here rather than a debate. Once you're satisfied, you can pick a post as the Best Solution or leave it unchanged.
