I have an Intel i5-11400, I installed two 8GB DDR4-2666 modules and crucial ballistix memory, but it keeps producing a long beep sound. The system is an Acer Aspire XC 1660. Anyone can assist?

Your Acer model likely doesn't have XMP RAM support, but the Crucial Ballistix does. When it functions, it operates at 2133 MHz. For improved performance, you should use RAM that meets JEDEC 2933/3200 standards.

After some investigation, located an older guide for Acer desktops. It suggests that a prolonged beep indicates either a memory module issue or incorrect installation. Begin standard troubleshooting, reinstall both modules one at a time. Replace the original module and test functionality. Check each slot individually to confirm compatibility. If problems persist, consider returning the purchased RAM due to incompatibility.
