You have a custom watercooling setup with a Corsair Hydro XC7 CPU block. It supports up to 4.0 GHz with the Load 4.0GHz OC preset in BIOS, but it won’t reach 4.1 even at 1.45V boost. You’re considering a full-coverage EK cooler for better performance. Your RAM is a Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 16GBx4 at 3200Mhz, and sometimes the PC fails to boot with the Safe 3200 preset (3200Mhz, CL14, 1.4V). A 4000MHz Trident Z Royal can reach up to 5G—what’s the potential for your system?

ek stands out much more than corsair interns when it comes to water cooling, largely depending on your motherboard’s power delivery and CPU’s silicon. The performance can vary quite a bit based on the CPU’s memory controller quality—some are top-notch while others aren’t. Corsair’s offerings aren’t the most premium, but the Trident Z from Samsung is a solid choice that delivers better results but at a significantly higher cost. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide what fits your needs and budget.
