My PC is a Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G with 16GB DDR4 3200MHz and dual B550 graphics. I was thinking if switching the CPU and GPU would make a big difference for smoother gameplay in Destiny 2. Right now it feels like I'm playing on an old PS3, and I'm sorry for any grammar mistakes since English isn't my first language.

It's unlikely to turn your game completely unplayable into something playable, but it will still matter. A solid boost in performance could raise your frame rate by roughly 10-20%, which would be enough if it bridges the gap between unplayable and playable. Even without a big gain, it might still improve the experience in another game and be worth trying to push the limits.

Trying to boost your iGPU won't make a big difference, but it might be worth a try. Since the iGPU limits performance, increasing the CPU won't help much.

Adjusting your memory performance offers greater impact when using your integrated graphics card rather than the dedicated GPU. However, this approach takes longer and presents more challenges for beginners.
