I retrieved my Shield K1 tablet after roughly two years of inactivity. I realized that support from Nvidia has ceased, and the device only runs Android 7.0. This limits compatibility with most modern apps I’d normally use. After some research, I learned that installing LineageOS could work as a modern alternative for older devices. However, it seems my situation might be more hardware-dependent than just software. I struggled to find clear instructions and had no prior experience with this process. Still, I’m determined to restore my tablet. Could you assist? Would beginner-friendly guides help, or should I walk you through it step by step? Ideally, I want it to function again, but I don’t want to end up with a broken device. Thanks for your advice!

XDA-Developers is an excellent spot for finding custom ROMs and offers useful tutorials. While no official guide exists for installing a custom ROM, it remains a helpful reference nonetheless.
